• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, including espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, and specialty creations.
• Operate espresso machines, coffee makers, and other equipment.
• Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
• Take orders, answer questions about the menu, and make recommendations.
• Ensure timely and accurate order preparation, striving for consistency and quality in every beverage served.
• Develop a deep understanding of the coffee menu — blends, roasts and brewing methods.
• Keep the work area clean, organized and well-stocked at all times.
• Regularly clean and maintain machines, grinders and other equipment.
• Process transactions, handle cash and maintain an accurate register.
• Suggest add-ons, pastries or other complementary items.
• Help maintain an attractive display of coffee-related merchandise.
• Collaborate with other baristas to keep the workflow smooth.
• Keep the back stock and prep area clean and organized, including inventory, syrup and roasting prep areas.
• Assist the kitchen and bakery with food prep and dishes when needed.
• Clean and reset the shop, keeping it safe, comfortable and appealing.

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods and coffee equipment.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to support all operational duties, including cleaning, restocking and general cafe maintenance.
• Reliable transportation to commute to work.

Compensation: $12.00–$15.00 per hour
